Battery alerts for a supported EG4 Cloud system.

Use the EG4 account that already shows your system. Ungrid reads supported cloud telemetry and adds battery emails, energy briefs, and Pro SMS without changing equipment settings.

An EG4 battery alone is not a cloud connection.

Ungrid needs a supported system visible in EG4 Monitor Center with usable telemetry. Battery branding alone does not establish compatibility: the inverter, monitoring connection, account access, and available readings all matter.

Confirm that your system is visible and current in the vendor cloud before trying Ungrid. Local access to an inverter through its monitoring dongle does not by itself prove that the cloud has current readings.

Keep EG4 monitoring and equipment support.

EG4 provides its own monitoring tools, including Monitor Center and EG4 Connect for compatible systems. Features and compatibility vary by product, setup, and app version. Use the vendor documentation for equipment setup and available native notifications.

Ungrid adds a separate read-only view of supported battery reserve, solar, and aggregate demand, with a Sunrise Energy Brief and optional Pro alert delivery. It does not replace EG4 commissioning tools, equipment controls, warranty support, or local protections.

Check account access before connecting.

Sign in to EG4 Monitor Center and confirm the intended system is listed. If only your installer can see it, resolve access with them before connecting. Do not assume a device serial number or purchase receipt grants monitoring access.

Ungrid currently connects using the EG4 account email and password in its secure setup form. Test the connection and select the intended system. Credentials are stored in Google Cloud Secret Manager; do not paste them into Ask Ungrid, email, or public support discussions.

Respond to reserve and load together.

Low Battery and Critical Battery alerts follow separate thresholds you configure. Pro High Load alerts use aggregate load from the connected system. They do not identify which appliance is running or diagnose a failed pump.

Illustrative example: reserve is falling while the house is drawing more than solar is producing. Review the confirmed readings and the loads you can safely defer. Ungrid gives you the information; operating decisions stay with you.

Troubleshoot the monitoring path first.

If Ungrid cannot show fresh readings, check whether EG4 Monitor Center is current. Missing vendor-cloud readings may require attention to the monitoring connection or vendor service. A working local display and a working internet connection do not guarantee current cloud telemetry.

If EG4 is current but Ungrid is not, review the selected system and connection status in Ungrid. Contact support with the problem description, never your password. Do not change inverter settings merely to troubleshoot a monitoring connection.
